Our Legacy competed brilliantly at Rebecca Farm with Rebecca Mortensen in July of 2014. As always she showed her huge heart and talent to finish in the ribbons in the Training 3-day in this, her final competition. Legacy had been diagnosed with terminal lymphoma in March of 2014, but loved to run and jump more than anything in the world. With excellent professional advice and under careful veterinary care, she and Rebecca continued to compete, demonstrating their incredible bond and partnership to the very end.

Legacy was euthanized on Sept. 6th at Colorado State University, where a subsequent in vitro fertilization was performed by the wonderful Dr. Elaine Carnevale. We greatly hopeful that this procedure will result in a beautiful, healthy foal next summer: Legacy's 'legacy' to will continue in her mother's footsteps. Perhaps you will get your offspring from her after all, Eric Smiley my friend.

Our profound thanks to Mike Huber for choosing this wonderful mare as a four year old, bringing her up to Prelim level, and giving us 5 wonderful years with her. She gave many people much joy, several dressage trainers tremendous headaches, but she will be greatly and profoundly missed by all. There are no words to describe the care, kindness and love that Legacy was given during her final year, and much, much gratitude is owed to Rebecca and all of the wonderful folks at Lynnleigh Farm in Sandy, UT.

Gone far too young at age 14, she leaves a tremendous hole in our lives and in our hearts.
